the simple answer: you fix it witrhin about thirty (30) seconds, or you die...

I assume you want the gory details, so here's the long answer:
Assuming you have no patches, or can't reach the tear, the air will all evacuate very quickly, you will feel a terrible pressure in you body, like a need to burp, but much stronger than the worst burp or vomiting episode of your life. Blood will begin to ooze from every hole it can, including (but not limited to) your eyes, ears, nose and mouth.

If you can't get help, the blood flow will increase, and everything else inside you will begin to come out (yes, that means you will do something nasty in your pants...) and then, basically, your body will explode and you will be dead. Your corpse will rapidly freeze dry, and it will float into oblivion unless it reaches a strong enough gravity field, which would pull it in, likely causing it to burn up on entry if the body has an atmosphere, or simply crash into it if the body does not have any gasses surrounding it...

Hope that gives you something to ponder.

It is not so obvious that he would die. Most devices designed for NASA have multiple backups for critical components. My expectation is that if the suit sprung a leak that a valve of some sort would come into play between the body of the suit and helmet and the astronaut would hurry back into a part of his space vehicle that had an atmosphere.

Ignoring this belief

If an astronaut were exposed to the vacuum of space his/her lungs would collapse and his/her blood would boil. Lack of oxygen to the brain would render the astronaut unconscious in something like a minute. Needless to say it would not be a pleasant experience.

First of all the mans blood would automatically boil because a mans spacesuit is likes opening up a can of soda and the man is the soda all of the pressure is contained in the can and it wants to get out. And because the blood is boiling the man's body will begin to expand. And then because the pressure is building up on your body everything will want to get so you'll bleed out of eyes, ear, mouth, and noes, and youll **** your pants. All that and I'm still going to be an Astronaut.I'm tough.

Contrary to popular belief, if you were to rip off your helmet in space, you would not freeze instantly. Space is cold, but there is nothing for your body heat to transfer into, so it stays within you. Because there is no pressure in space, all of the liquids in your body would begin to vaporize, and that would obviously cause some pretty bad damage. You would probably last about 30 seconds before you die.

Exploding bodies in space is another Hollywood invention. Your blood would boil and you would burst veins, and may tear some skin, but as a whole, your body would not explode. Humans and animals have been exposed to vacuum and near vacuum without exploding.

he doesn't explode, the blood vessels willl burst and he will be subject to severe internal bleeding (this can happen on the upper lip if you drink from a coke bottle) but with his lungs full the pressure internally will stop the external pressure from crushing him and he will be able to survive for 30 seconds max if he is unlucky, at a time like that it would be befst to stab yourself because you're dead anyway

You implode in water because the pressure's crushing your body.
You explode in space because your body is being vacuumed out of the rip.
Have a nice new year.

it truly is all animation, inspite of the indisputable fact that the real component is that without the gap in structure, initially their isn't any O2 contained in the gap so will die, secondly the guy will be bothered by the UV radiation it truly is coming from the solar because the gap in structure acts as a wall which preserve the guy from getting epidermis burn from the undesirable warmth waves coming from the solar n many extra issues r their.

first you get both roasted due to the star's heat and you get frozen due to the extreme temp. in the space. And the zero presssure in the space causes you to burst. And before you come to know that you are dying you die!!!

He explodes because there is no pressure in space.
