how long would it take for dysplasia to turn into cancer? i have a 4 year old and my pap was fine when i was pregnant with him, but i have an 8 month old and my pap with her was abnormal. it's been a little over a year and i need to get a colposcopy still. what are the odds it isn't cancer yet? 5 years ago i had a normal pap, and a little over a year ago i had "abnormal" which they think might be dysplasia.

Well I had that cervical dysplasia when I was 15 and they have to freeze my cervix. I didn't like it at all because the dysplasia came back and they had to do it again. I was afraid that I had cancer but it was just a precaution they said. Apparently, most of the time, it will go away on its on, which I didn't know that. I was young and scared. I wanted to have babies and they said I needed to have my cervix frozen so they don't have to remove it! Anyway, I wouldn't worry too much. I went two years without going to have a pap done and just recently I did and I am fine.
