The way he is bashed on here, it is like you have all forgotten how a Democracy (Republic) works. He makes very few decisions on his own, including the situation in Iraq. If you are going to blame someone blame yourselves for voting all these pigs in office. Criticize our government all you want, it is your duty to do so, but for gods sake, criticize the right people. Please don't take offense. It is your right to question our government if you feel it is wrong, but realize solely criticizing Bush will not solve anything. God bless you all, FREEDOM LOVING AMERICANS!!!

It's not just Bush, it's all of the government, really wouldn't matter who was president, they are all the same.

They care more about money than our country.

AMEN TO THAT!! You said it all!! Too many Bush-bashing liberals just merely spewing out the crap that's fed to them through the mass liberal media - they take what these liberal politicians say to be the truth - they go right along with it without even questioning whether or not they're telling the truth. All those loud mouth liberal 'brainiacs' should also think about this: Why doesn't the liberal media (CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, etc) show any of the progress being made in Iraq that our soldiers tell us about? On Hannity and Colmes last week, Sean Hannity was in Iraq and spoke with a group of soldiers. When asked about the progress there, the soldiers said that there IS progress being made over there and that it's NOT the chaotic country that the liberal media portrays! Remember, this comes from the mouths of our troops! They also said that the media doesn't show the progress - just the violence and killings that occur here and there, but are NOT widespread all over the country as the liberals like everyone to believe! To the liberals who wish to debate me, I'd tell them this: go talk to a soldier who has spent a great deal of time in Iraq - ask them if there is progress being made there and ask them what kind of progress! They will tell you that women are now allowed to go to school as well as schools for children are open and they're getting educated, clean water is running, electricity, their economy is moving forward, etc. The liberals use the incidents of violence and death to merely mask the hard work our troops are doing over there to make it better, safer, more peaceful and productive country! NOT ALL of what the media shows is ALL there is to the story - the liberal media shows ONLY the violence - NOT the whole story!! The liberals play what is called 'The cover it up and blame the prez' game! They either tell the side of the story they agree with or they don't tell any of it - period!!

Happy New Year!

Im a Republican myself but gosh I sometimes think we might as well have a King in this Country considering how many ignorant people already act like the President is the King and forget that other positions exist like Governor and Mayor and so forth.

Do these ignorant people think the President runs everything and that Governors and Mayors just hold the titles but get to sit on their butts so the President can do everything?

Mayor Nagin certain sat on his butt thinking the President was suppose to do Nagin's job when Nagin left Buses to be flooded by Katrina.

Heck when Bush was bashed for not doing anything about Katrina when he actually did everything he possible could do, I was like what are these whiners doing to help?

I mean sitting there blaming the President for everything is not gonna solve problems at all.

All politics is bad. Look at those political commercials bashing everyone during the voting in Nov. Politics is basically picking the lesser of two evils. Money and power make decisions not the majority.

You're absolutly right- we do see that Bush has been undermining the democratic process put forth in the constitution. We do see how he has consolidated power, effectively destroying our system of checks and balances. We understand how he branded anyone who disagrees as unpatriotic, including members of congress (remember Max Cleveland?) and withholding information and actually lying to congress (a crime, by the way).

He has also taken control of judicial powers, including the interpretation of new laws and the constitution (public signing statements) And in those interpretations saying that he is not bound by those laws.

So yes, we do think that Bush has destroyed the democratic government in the United States. Happy new year.

Traditionally, the Head of States is held responsible for the actions of the government, whether directly involved in them or not. It's his job to make sure that people who are making decisions are making good ones, and to kick to the curb the ones who aren't. The fact that Rumsfled stayed as long as he did shows that he's not doing that.

Look, I voted for the man...twice, and I can tell you, that I must be an idiot for voting for him. The man is nothing more than a puppet and Cheney and Carl Rove are his puppet masters. Yes, you are right, this is a Democracy, and in a Democracy, we have the right to bash him. And as far as blame, yes, we are to blame...we put a moron in charge who cannot think for himself and has to rely on his dad's cronies to give him poor advice.

Unfortunately whenever a Republican is in the W.H. he gets blamed for anything and everything. Democrats want to point the finger at someone other than themselves. Look at all the Democratic senators who voted for us to take military action in Iraq? Sen. Kerry, Sen. Clinton. Democrats never mention this, they just like to blame President Bush.

I'll say what I want because I do vote, and I can tell you that I did NOT elect most of the pigs that are running this country. Actually I didn't elect any of them.
