I spent part of the 'holidays' in OKC one year, the people were very nice, the cops weren't an A** to me, people at the 'speedy-mart' would ACTUALLY TALK to me, without having one-finger on the 'button'.
Especially for a larger city, it was very friendly. IMO

I had basic training at Fort Sill back in 1980. Man was it hot. That year there was like a major heat wave through there and actually killed alot of people. Really didn't get the whole OK experience. Spent like one day in Lawton.

Ok is ok!! When I was still driving a truck,I used to pass thru OKC a lot.
For some reason,the "lot lizards" in OKC always seemed...ummm.....passionate about their chosen profession.
Also...there used to be some guy in OKC that would get on the CB (from some nearby base station) and say...."I've got my night gown on...I got my little pink panties on...and I'm ready to go to bed!" LOL!!

Ya I've lived their and hope i never have to again. Sh-t happens as a result OK. is not one of my favorite places any more. Though i have relatives all over the state and Texas too.

Lived there for about half my life. In CA now. To be honest, other than friends and thunderstorms, there's not much about it that I ever liked. Horrific weather (other than the thunderstorms), no scenery, ticks and 'way too many rednecks and fundamentalists to suit me. And, yes, I still say y'all as well. :)

Pass through there on trips between Arkansas and Washington, but never actually "been" there.

I only drove through, but I had a great time. I ate steak for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
