I didn't knew that he played that role. Anyways, it's to attract pity, and viewers to the series(I think). But your right at one thing: They are sexy and cute too, they make a great duo together!

Josh lost over a 100 pounds during the course of the show. I think Josh is way hot now and really cute. Josh plays the brother that can't get a date because he doesn't have the charm that Drake has on woman. Josh in the show seems more shy and less willing to approch woman. I do not think it was really fair that because he was once overweight had he should be a ugly character.

Josh had to be the dork because he started out as the fat one and Josh was in a band. I agree though, for high school boys, they're pretty cute. I would like to see what they look like when they are 30 ish.

All shows have a "cute" one and a "funny" one. Drake is supposedly the cute one so that leaves Josh to be the funny one.
