I know that Anne Hathaway had to sing this song in "Hoodwinked," but did the stars in "Happy Feet" sing too (Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman, etc)? I know that sometimes they don't (like in Mulan), but I'm just wondering if they did in "Happy Feet." What do you think?

It really depends on the movie and who the stars are. Nicole Kidman has an amazing voice (that was really her singing in Moulin Rouge as well) and Hugh Jackman has spent a lot of time doing musicals on Broadway. For a contrasting example, at the end of Ella Enchanted when Anne Hathaway and Hugh Dancy are in the big song and dance number "Don't Go Breaking My Heart," it is Anne singing the female part, but Jesse McCartney is doing the male lead.

Demi Lovato has a hideous voice, she can't sing at all. She is an awful actor and deserves none of the fame she gets. She is truly one of the ugliest people I have ever seen (and looks matter), so she really has nothing going for her, she is worthless and will NEVER have a further career in the music industry. Not to mention she is obviously not a well liked person considering she was bullied in school, she is pathetic. I think the jonas brothers are good singers. They had record deals BEFORE disney, which means they have real talent. The high school musical cast are great performers, they all have good voices and can act and dance.

Actors used to almost always have someone sing for them, but nowadays, there's pressure on them to do their own singing. I don't know for sure about the singing in Happy Feet, but Nicole Kidman has a good singing voice, and Hugh Jackman is an EXCELLENT singer. He does Broadway. I assume they probably did their own singing. Some lip-synching I do know of recently was when Minnie Driver had someone sing for her in Phantom of the Opera. They were honest about it, though. They never tried to pass it off as her own singing.

Actually they are actors and actress and they play there role as doctors or may be anything and somebody else or any singer sings on background for then and later both this music, acting , singing and all this things are brought to gather in a complete package and we see that as movies ...HAPPY NEW YEAR anyways ...

Some do and some are dubbed... Some actors are suprisingly good singers and others can't and therefore don't.

I highly doubt that Rita Hayworth sang in Pal Joey... I don't think that she could carry a tune in a bucket... But I think that the blond actress did do her own singing? Not sure though?

It depends. Like in Nightmare Before Christmas Danny Elfman sings but he isn't the talking jack. If the person can sing they can go right ahead. But if the person can't sing, someone with dub their voice [ meaning they will sing for that person ]. Sometimes they will mix the two voices together so it sounds like the talker's voice.

I'm not sure about "Happy Feet" but I know some actors & actresses do their own singing. Gary Busey did all his own music in "The Buddy Holly Story".

for a live action movie, they pre record the songs (sometimes the actors will sing), then the actors use ear buds or something to listen to the song and lipsynch along. then during the editing phase they put in the actual music.
happy new year

If they can actually sing, then yes. If not, then they lip sync. As for cartoons & animated movies, if they can't sing, I guess someone else would do the singing and no one would have to worry about lip syncing because we can't see them!
