Some games because they need the CD to access audio and video files although on the hole now its just to try and stop piracy. Although some still allow you to play with out the CD

Some don't, but most require it. It's to prevent from sharing your cd with others. But there are ways around it to make your computer think the cd's are in(daemon tools along with safedisc), and of course the no cd crack.

its unavoidable its used so that u cant distribute cds to everyone you know
world of warcraft doesnt require a cd but also it costs 15 $ a month

you can use a no cd crack to play games without the cd in.

the only way to by past it is to hack the security feature so you can play without the cd..A.k.A crack
