There is some mistake in ur question but u can change the gender of ur avatar by first clicking on ur avatar and when the page will appear on the top of page word "prefrences"is written click on it u will get it.

u could change ur gender as well as delete it ,by choosing th preferences at the top right of the yahoo avatar page
