Some people don't brush their tongues when they brush their teeth. It could also be food residue from eating throughout the day. In some cases it's a side effect of medication.

If your tongue is white, it generally means you (or that person) is not practicing good oral hygiene. The whiteness is a built-up layer of bacteria. Yuck. People should brush their tongues with the toothbrush every time they brush their teeth.
If someone has a throat infection, that white bacteria layer can be present.

OK all tongues are pink red. The white is just that the tongue need to be cleaned. and this is true. Its like the saliva freezing on your tongue.
