His species is unidentified/unknown. He was FOUND on Degobah but they don't know his home planet. Here's his biography!
Yoda is an ancient Jedi master who was over 900 years old before his passing. Often underestimated in his stature, Yoda was one of the most powerful and intelligent beings in the galaxy. He trained many Jedi, such as Ben Kenobi, instructing all of his pupils fully in every aspect of the Force. But, when the great purges swept the galaxy, Yoda was one of the few to avoid Vader and Palpatine's rage. He hid himself on the swampy world of Dagobah, next to a cave where a Bpfasshi Dark Jedi once died, an area rich with the dark side of the Force. The Dark Side power and Yoda's Light Side power canceled one another and the small Gherkin was able to live contently in his hut, until one day a X-wing ship landed on Dagobah. Knowing full well who had come to see him, Yoda approached the young man, pretending not to be the Jedi Master, testing the youth for his patience and aptitude. Though reluctant at first, Yoda took the youth in as a student after revealing, much to young Luke Skywalker's shock, that he was indeed the Jedi Master, Yoda. Yoda taught Luke nearly everything he knows about the Force, and sent him down the road to self-discovery of the powers of the Force. Yoda died though, telling Luke about his dark heritage, and that there WAS indeed another Skywalker.

According to the Star Wars Databank his homeworld and species are unknown. There was a female of his species on the Jedi Council, her name was Yaddle. Yoda exiled himself to Dagobah after Imperial Order 66 wiped out 99% of the Jedi, but that was not his homeworld. Tridactyl refers to Yoda's hands, having three digits, but is not his species name. The word Grentarik appears in a piece of fan fiction whose author claims to be "George Lucas" but obviously is not by proof of the immature style of the narrative. Gherkin likewise is not found anywhere else in the approved Star Wars lexicons.

how are you able to ask this? little question it relatively is going to be Yoda. the large green guy won't final even a minute against out little jedi. Hulk is merely too brute and Yoda is merely too smart. for that reason, ideas and psychological potential will triumph over uncooked tension...Sorry Hulk, the fairway huge is defeated with the aid of a green Pea.
