My son was adopted by my mom 6 years go due to me being in an abusive relationship, but I got rid of the man who was abusing me and my mom knows this and gave me visitation rights for awhile but took them away again all the sudden. I now have not seen my son in almost 2 years,is there any way I can get them back? She knows I would never hurt him and his father has been out of my life for 6 years and has no idea where I am.

your mom is protecting her grandchild
you put his father (the man who abused you!!!) before your son
they don't JUST take away visitation for no reason (that is if you had court ordered visitation rights or was your mom just letting you see your son without court order?)
to bad for you

If you let a man abuse your child , it's possible the court and or your mom must think of the best interest of the child .Just because the guy's out of the picture now , doesn't mean another one won't come along .They don't take kids away just because you were being abused . I don't believe 2nd chances are in order where a women put an abusive man before her innocent dependent child .

prove to ur mom that u are responsible and that ur son needs a mom in his life not just a grandmom and the sooner the better. my cousin had a baby then she went to jail. the baby grew up with my grandmom and thought that was her mom. but her mom got out of jail and she took back her daughter. now the child is kinda tormented trapped between world wat she once belived was true and it was good for her came crashing down and i bealive she is trapped between emotions. so basiclally the longer you wait the more diffuclt it will be 4 the child. so u and ur mom need to come 2gether as two adults. excuse the spelling im in a rush

i would think that if your son was adopted then that means that you no longer have any parental rights and it is probably all up to your mom try talking to some one from family court services
