On the movie two kids find this turtle when it's small and they put their initials on it's back. A DR is feeding the turtle and the turtle gets big and starts killing but protecting the two kids that found it.
I would love to know the name of this movie. I haven't seen it sense I was little.

I guess the turtle sneaks up on them. Saw a B-movie with Ray Milland about this subject from the 1970s. He was a wealthy land owner who lived in the swamps in a fancy mansion. The animals on the island kept killing off his guests. Snapping turtles got a bubba head who got stuck in the mud. Spiders got a woman sleeping on the ground, if I remember it right. The movie was called "Frogs" for some reason. Killer frogs? Huh?

Turtles are pretty quick when in close contact with their prey. Snatch, grab, and bite down hard is usually how they kill.

The movie is called The Bermuda Depths. If you 10 or younger when you saw it - go to imdb.com and read the threads - most of the commenters were around 8 (including myself) when they first watched this movie. Weird coincidence?
