Now that the Redskins have locked Betts up for cheap, don't be surprise if the trade the injury prone Clinton Portis. Betts's running style fits much better in the Joe Gibbs running scheme.
The Skins could address a lot of needs if they trade Portis. There are a lot of teams out there that would give up a decent amount for him.
The Skins are also looking to trade Randel-El in the off season.

The Redskins have been neglecting their pass rush for years. And whatever happened to the downfield pass? They certainly have the WRs to go deep, but rarely seem to.
The Redskins have some very talented (and very well-paid) players. Right now, they need to focus on role players and not giving away all their draft picks.
Brunell may have had a good QB rating, but that's just a statistic. Jason Campbell is the future of the team, and if Brunell can't win games anymore, they need to work on the future now.

the only way the Skins can turn it around is that if proprietor Dan Snyder supplies up his administration. they'd desire to enable vice chairman of soccer Operations Vinny Serato (even inspite of the shown fact which you spell his call) bypass and hire a real GM who would be in can charge of drafting gamers that the Skins want (see offensive line) like bill Parcells has achieved down in Miami. Campbell can not be blamed for each and all of the offensive problems on the grounds that he has no authentic offensive line. positioned Payton Manning or Tom Brady in the back of that offensive line and that they could conflict too. not as undesirable as Cambell has, yet even the final QBs want time. Brian Orakpo, and Laron Landry are the only 2 authentic draft possibilities that have panned out. lots of draft possibilities have not like Malcom Kelly and Devin Thomas.

Washington has some good pieces, and bad chemistry. The Redskins defense has eroded over the years, and has to improve if Washington ever plans to improve from last place.

It certainly seems like they're trying to get the worst record in NFL history, isn't it? I'm not sure there's much else they can do except get rid of Santana Moss and pick up some crappy guys in the draft. I suppose we'll see how it goes next season (Detroit's not doing so hot either...).
