I want to hit up some sales for my wife's birthday coming up. Thinking about getting her a couple shirts. She likes New York and Company, Banana Republic, and Eddie Bauer. She's 26 years old and a size 14 or 16. Think she would need a Large or Extra Large shirt?

If you really want to "WOW" her ... then go to Tiffany's for their after Christmas sales. You can get some great jewelry starting at @ $100.00. They also have some in the many thousand dollar range if you can afford it.

A large is sizes 12 to 16 depending on store and a X large is 14 to 20 So It depends on the store. Many stores run very small though.

Usually clothing in those stores sometime run smaller so the best advice is to get her an X-large if she is a 14 -16 I am the same size and that is the size I wear in those stores.

Go to Victoria Secrets they will help you with size and styles....also The Limited she will wear a smaller size there and they also r very helpful.....I don't know why but if u shop department stores and wear a 7 in their clothes u go to limited and a 4 fits u???????makes a girl feel good

L --but you may need to give her the receipt too because some of the stores run the shirt sizes small.

If you think her breasts are larger (full C or D cup or larger), go with an extra large. If you think they are a normal C or smaller go with a large. Hope this helps, and happy shopping!

aww!! i think it's really nice,cutte,and thoughtful that you want to buy her a couple -o- shirts but maybe since you don't know if she's a large or extra large,maybe i reccomend a giftcard for her fave store?! if you don't like this idea..i would say just a large. ;)

get her a large. if it is wrong you can take them back. You do not want her thinking you think she is fat by getting her a way bigger shirt than she needs. I'd rather get a smaller size from my husband.

don't go for the buying a shirt or anything because if you buy it and they don't like it then they be like" oh my gosh do you really think that i liked that or whatever" and don't get a size because if you get the wrong size they are going to think that you think they are fat. so get her a 100 dollar gift card to whatever store she likes and a diamond necklace a really nice one or some type of jewelery

If you don’t know exactly what is the size or not sure if she like the style and color, the gift certificate is the best gift. Nowadays, it is very popular among the gift idea.
