Okay I got a sewing machine for Christmas and I'm really into making new clothes but one time I tried making something but it just fell apart so just post some ideas.

Okay, coolest idea ever. I actually got this from a friend's son who's a fashion designer in Toronto...kk? Alright, you take and old tee, scrunch it up, throw some bleach or something on it to make the color go all weird, then let it dry and everything. Take a black permanent marker, and sketch in a logo, like Quicksilver, or something. Then take an exacto knife and carve the name in over the marker...leave some of it showing, and let some of the pieces sorta fall out (keep it chic, but sorta messy). Then, take another shirt, or some old fabric, and sew it behind in a careless manner. Throw a patch here and there, some paint splatters or something, and you got an awesome new shirt! :) Sorry if that's not the look you'd go for, but I think it looks super cool. :)

Another idea, take a bunch of old jeans that don't fit anymore, cut off the legs, sew em together and make a skirt. (oh crap, I forgot to check if you were a girl or a guy before I answered this! :D sorry! :) )

u could take a plain sweater and cut it down the center and then cut of the bottom to make it a shrug and used the bottom piece that u cut of as a mini skirt. u could also take a long sleeve shirt and cut of the arms and use them as leg warmers

Take some old jeans and cut off the legs halfway. then add sequins and whatever you want for personal taste. There you have new shorts!

try "Sew U" from Urban Outfitters. It is a book that has patterns for shirts, skirts, and pants and instructions on how to customize them.
