I went through Vocational Rehab.. the people in the office search for ways to get training and other qualifications for people needing them...

they get you evaluated and assessed to find out what kinds of jobs you are able to perform and those that match with your personality, etc...

they also help you find work (sometimes with subsidies to the people who hire you) if you need the help...

I used to be on the board of directors if an org that had a voc rehab office. They served 2 kinds of clients: people who had a serious injury and needed to be re-trained for a new kind of job; and people with mental retardation, autism or other disabilities who were coming out of school and needed training for the world of work.
