I have always loved Beautiful Child By Fleetwood Mac off the Tusk album.

Heart has an older obscure song called Lighter touch that is one of the most beautiful songs ever written...

"A lighter touch than hands of love through time, reaching up to have and to hold you, but you know, I'll only stay if I am free to go, you know I'll take your love into my soul."

Good-bye By Elton John which is an obscure B-side song off an old 45.

I love "The weakness in me" By: Joan Armitrading too. Melissa Ethridge version of the same song is found on the "Aint nuthin but a she thang soundtrack." It is amazing! Better than the original actually.

Everyone loves Nick Drake!

Life in a northern town by : The Dream Academy

And Chelsea Girls By Nico.

The Waitress By Tori Amos
(Because I too, believe in peace... BIT*CH!)

Nikka Costa has a beautiful song on her debut CD called; Nothing.

The best Rolling Stones Song is Gimmie Shelter off the Let it bleed album.

Sheryl Crow and Shelby Lynne did a duet of The difficult kind. That is awesome!

Ben Folds did a fantastic rendition of Golden Slumbers By the Beatles off the I am Sam soundtrack (Which is a fantastic sountrack by the way.)

Fair. By a band called Remy Zero is a great song...

Everybody here wants you. By: Jeff Buckley From Sketches for my sweetheart the drunk.

because the man was a poet and a genius and everything he ever said or sang or wrote was beautiful!

She's my ride home. By: Blue October is an incredible song! I love it!

How's that for old?

Summer '68- Pink Floyd
Sad Lisa- Cat Stevens
Spanish Caravan- The Doors
I'm Only Sleeping- The Beatles
A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall- Bob Dylan (One of the most beautiful apocalyptical lyrical works of music)

With your indulgence, there are two: The Impossible Dream from the Man of La Mancha and What Kind of Fool Am I? from, Stop the World, I Want to Get Off.

The Impossible Dream

To dream ... the impossible dream ...
To fight ... the unbeatable foe ...
To bear ... with unbearable sorrow ...
To run ... where the brave dare not go ...
To right ... the unrightable wrong ...
To love ... pure and chaste from afar ...
To try ... when your arms are too weary ...
To reach ... the unreachable star ...

This is my quest, to follow that star ...
No matter how hopeless, no matter how far ...
To fight for the right, without question or pause ...
To be willing to march into Hell, for a Heavenly cause ...

And I know if I'll only be true, to this glorious quest,
That my heart will lie will lie peaceful and calm,
when I'm laid to my rest ...
And the world will be better for this:
That one man, scorned and covered with scars,
Still strove, with his last ounce of courage,
To reach ... the unreachable star ...

What Kind of Fool Am I ?

What kind of fool am I, who never fell in love?
It seems that I’m the only one that I have been thinkin’ of!
What kind of man is this, an empty shell?
A lonely cell in which an empty heart must dwell!

What kind of lips are these, that lied with every kiss?
That whispered empty words of love that left me alone like this?
Why can’t I fall in love like any other man?
And maybe then I’ll know what kind of fool I am!

Why can’t I fall in love like any other man?
And maybe then I’ll kno’ what kind of fool I am!

STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By: LED ZEPPELIN
REASON: BEST SONG EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THIS SONG IS TRULY LEGENDARY
THE BRAINCHILD OF ROBERT PLANT AND JIMMY PAGE

Stairway To Heaven lyrics

There's a lady who's sure all that glitters is gold
And she's buying a stairway to heaven.

When she gets there she knows, if the stores are all closed
With a word she can get what she came for.
Ooh, ooh, and she's buying a stairway to heaven.

There's a sign on the wall but she wants to be sure
'Cause you know sometimes words have two meanings.
In a tree by the brook, there's a songbird who sings,
Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven.
Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it makes me wonder.

There's a feeling I get when I look to the west,
And my spirit is crying for leaving.
In my thoughts I have seen rings of smoke through the trees,
And the voices of those who stand looking.
Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it really makes me wonder.

And it's whispered that soon if we all call the tune
Then the piper will lead us to reason.
And a new day will dawn for those who stand long
And the forests will echo with laughter.

If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now,
It's just a spring clean for the May queen.
Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run
There's still time to change the road you're on.
And it makes me wonder.

Your head is humming and it won't go, in case you don't know,
The piper's calling you to join him,
Dear lady, can you hear the wind blow, and did you know
Your stairway lies on the whispering wind.

And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our soul.
There walks a lady we all know
Who shines white light and wants to show
How everything still turns to gold.
And if you listen very hard
The tune will come to you at last.
When all are one and one is all
To be a rock and not to roll.

And she's buying a stairway to heaven.

I don't know. I mean I mainly listen to popular music because I'm a part of this young generation.

Wine Red by The Hush Sound

Actually, that's the only one of "my" bands that's not "popular," which you seem to reject. It's not because I watch MTV or listen to pop radio, but because I've been with the bands since they were unknown and watch them climb in popularity (sadly).

Happy new year!
