Seeing as you ask (which is rather nice because nobody else has even bothered to phone!) I didn't go out tonight - I can't - (medical, not lawful reasons!) and suddenly my other half / flat-mate / carer came into my room just before midnight and we both had a drink together to bring in the new year whilst we watched the Livingstone fireworks display (to which we'd contributed as Londoners even though we weren't asked..) on the TV. The strange bit is that we're both off the booze for ages (again, for medical reasons other than the usual HAD to) and although it was only Banana liqueur, we're both "not quite sober" and it's bloody lovely. although in the morning our livers will let us know all about it!
Meanwhile, thank you for asking!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Sorry, but I am as sad as everyone else! Actually I am not really sad because I don`t like to go out to pubs and parties etc. I would much rather stay at home in familiar surroundings doing the things I want to do.This evening, I wrote a couple of thank you letters for Christmas presents. Took the dog for a walk. After `channel hopping `on the TV to see if there was anything worth watching, I decided there wasn`t so I watched a video and then saw the New Year in by watching the TV. After that I telephoned my sister who lives in Holland and my cousin who lives in France and my elderly Aunt and Uncle who live in S.W. London. At 2.30am. I decided to see if you lot were still up! So very Happy New Year to you all !!

All the main channels were rubbish tonight...watched Barry Manilow and Simply Red in concert on the Biography channel then gave up watching and came on-line instead...then stood in the conservatory and watched all the fireworks going off all around here...I live at the top of a hill so there was a good show all round!

Didn't even have one bottle of pop!

I watched Jools Hollands Hootanny. Its a tradition now. Every year you watch Ades Edmondsons (sorry about spelling), Roland Rivvon and Vic Reeves enjoying the free drinks at there best mates bash. O and of course I watched the fireworks on BBC1 (wasn't they beautiful). I've had the same kind of new year all my life.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go out and celebrate. I have been suffering with a very bad chest infection since Christmas and I'm having to take antibiotics and we are all aware, that it isn't wise to drink alcohol with them. The evening didn't turn out badly for me though, as my youngest son came to stay with me, to make sure that I didn't see The New Year in on my own and got phone calls, from my other son's and their families. Thank you for asking. I hope you have a ' Good 2007 ' !!!

No sauce, not much excitement, did get the joy of making the three little ones laugh when I said "see you next year" at bedtime. Now I'm onto my own addiction, Y! Answers, I'm trying to see if I can answer until midnight, and yes Treeman, its 9:49 p.m. here and counting....what a small small world it is.....
p.s. no I'm not single and no I'm not alone, we just chose not to make a big whoo wa about it....

My hubby cooked a nice dinner - we sat watching a film on telly - he had a couple of beers, I had a few baileys. Went to bed at 11pm - brought the new year in with a bang (so to speak). Wide awake at 2am and sat on here since. I'm quite happy!
