Advertised everywhere, but why not simply an extension lead - one plug gives you four outlets, all separately switched and even colour coded if you buy the right one.

What country are you in? if UK I've never seen or heard of such an adaptor in my 44 years! You can get a converter which replaces a single socket with a double or a triple outlet, see the Screwfix website for that. What you are describing would not comply. You would be better off using a 4 way fused extension lead as suggested above.

They have them at most places that sell electric products ( wal-mart , home depot , Lowe's , Menard's , just about any hardware store).

Any store that sells electric or building things will have them , or large drug stores. Make sure they are grounded and UL approved.
