It's a Federal Holiday. With all banks being regulated by the Federal Government, They will be closed on New Years Day. Even in New York.

No banks should be open on New Year's Day, but check your local supermarket, some of the banks in them are open on sundays and holidays.

no they will be closed tomm cause Its a Federal Holiday and possibly on Tuesday for President Ford's Funeral as Bush has declared it a Fedral Day of Observance but if they have an ATM u can use that!
