Starting to wonder about what??

You're 13. That means you've got 5 whole years to think it over.

And no one is forcing you to get one the day you turn 18, either. You can always wait longer.

My advice to you is, don't even waste your time thinking about it if you're only 13.

When I was 16, I started thinking about what I wanted... and by the time I was 18, I didn't want anything I thought I wanted just two years before.

Just wait until you're 18, and THEN start thinking about it. You'll be older and more mature, and you'll thank yourself for waiting in the long run.

If when you turn 18 you still want one start by asking people who have tattoos already that you like who did them and then visit that shop and talk to the people who work there or own/manage it about their policies about sterilization and see how clean the shop itself is.Also find out about the actual studios where they do the tattooing.are they individual rooms with privacy blinds or glass or do they do the tattooing out in a open space where anybody walking into, out and walking around the shop can see what is being done to you. This can be important for a female having a tattoo done on her breast as does any female want everybody there seeing her with her breast exposed. The very minimum is "new needles and inks for every customer" absolutely no reusing them and hospital type sterilization with the area to be tattooed swabbed with a disinfectant before the the work starts and the tattoo artist wearing sterilized latex gloves while doing the tattoo. as bleeding does happen as the tattoo is applied.NOW FOR THE HARD FACTS ABOUT TATTOO'S,THEY ARE PERMANENT UNLESS YOU WANT TO GO THOUGH PAINFUL LASER OR SKIN PEELING OPERATIONS TO REMOVE IT AND THERE WILL ALWAYS BE A SCAR.SO IF YOU DECIDE TO GET ONE WHEN YOU TURN 18 GET SOMETHING THAT YOU WILL LIKE FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE.THAT RULES OUT BOYFRIENDS/GIRLFRIENDS NAMES OR I LOVE YOU TRIBUTE TO THEM.

I got a tatoo 15 years ago, just a small one on my leg. I thought it was the coolest thing. Now here I am in my mid 40's walking around with the damn thing, and I feel like a frickin' idiot. Forget about it. Don't mame your body for a fad.

Wait until you turn 18 and then ask that question.

One small piece of advice: My daughter got one on her forearm when she was 18.....only cost her $40......but now, because of her type of work, she needed to remove it. She's already spent over $2,000 and you can still see it!!
My advice.......think long and hard before you get a tattoo

i have 6 tats myself....best advice ....make it your own design and don t choose a tat on a whim....i have one that was done with out thinking or waiting.....what was supose to be clouds in the night sky ...looks like blue beans....if its your own design ...the artist can fine tune it and it will be meaningful and u will not regret it....its there for a long time...choose wisely....

Think about this. When you're 80 years old and all wrinkled and prune skinned, will you want to look down at that nasty worn out faded tattoo on your sagging skin? Think about it. Cause you will be 80 one day.

don't get one. Think about when u are old and wrinkly. Your tat will look horrible and saggy and ugly. Save urself the embarrassment and pain by not getting one. . .plus if the needles aren't cleaned or replaced. . .you could get HIV or other bloodborne diseases.

What's the point in getting a tattoo? It's cool if you're a muscular guy... Since you're a girl it'll look stupid... I dunno that's my impression I might be wrong...
