For all intensive gaming purposes, which is better? Since now Mac's can run Windows instead of OS 'X' now. So I'm wondering if I should try out a Mac. PC's seem to be just so much more expencive. Can I get a Mac to do more for less ($) when it comes to gaming versus the PC?

Here's the thing, my friend's Bro' works for Apple, so I might have the hook-up. He's got a computer w/ 8gb of RAM in it, a screamin' processor and graphics card that corresponds equally in awesomeness to his monitor...he plays games on 1600x1200. And it was free. I guess apple recycles a lot of crap and his bro can get it instead of having it recycled.

PC - Yahoo Tech Expert Christopher Null says: 'You can't play Half-Life 2, Oblivion, F.E.A.R., or dozens of other titles on the Mac. When titles do trickle to the Mac, it's usually months after the PC and console versions. Mac gamers usually are forced to play World of Warcraft or get a console for gaming. Oddly, every Mac enthusiast I know also has an Xbox, which is a Microsoft product. I'm just sayin', that's strange.'

I just purchased a MacBook Pro and it's great for gaming. I can play Half Life 2 at the maximum resolution with the setting turned up and it plays beautifully. You can probably do any kind of "intensive" gaming on an iMac. The Radeon X1600 isn't a bad GPU at all. If you want to go all out, you can get a Mac Pro. With a Mac Pro, you'll have many different hardware configurations to choose from. Macs don't run Windows "instead" of Mac OS X. They dual boot with Windows XP, meaning you can have the best of both worlds. In most cases, Mac OS X is better. The only thing I use Windows for is gaming.

I have played with Macs and am very impressed! Years ago when VCRs came out it was BETA or VHS. Beta wouldn't change their construction. It was a top loader and you couldn't put it in a neat slot in your entertainment center because of the space you needed over it to load the cassette. Some fool lost Beta forever for this one thing. Mac's and PC's are going to be around for a long time. Mac's are interfacing with PC's and are in this for the long haul. At this point, I see no difference.

un, Macs are way more expensive than PCs! You can get a fairly good gaming pc for under 900 while a MAC will cost close to 1500. Know this from experience as I bought my son an IMAC last year. More games are available for the pc also.

Deffinately a PC. You can expand a PC as much as you want versus a mac you can only use apple software and hardware that will correspond to the motherboard, and its more expensive.
The only thing I own from apple is the ipod and its the only thing ill ever have from apple.
if you dont choose a PC, good luck cus ur gonna need it

Well a Mac is actually way more expensive. For gaming, probably choose the PC. Mac's are more for artsy photo/video type people.

Dell is loosing to Apple. They already lost the MP3 market to Apple. Do not buy Dell because if you do you will get a lot of trouble. Get a Mac you will not regret it.

MAC's are more stable and less prone to infection. If you've got an "in," USE IT. My next computer will be a MAC. I'm tired of babysitting a sick OS!
