Keep in mind that the average rapists has assaulted 23 victims by the time he is caught. Obviously I think the most severe punishment is in order, what do you think? Oh yeah a huge portion of the psychological community also believes that rapists and child molesters can never be rehabilited.

I think the average person and the average vegetable all think the same way; no one likes getting raped. If I were President, among the many, many reforms I would make, rapist execution on the first offense would be one of them!

Well ... that really depends now doesn't it? Whenever anybody reads the word "rape"; what immediately comes to mind is some stranger in an alley that brutally and violently batters a woman into submission then takes her dignity, and sex from her any way he chooses, to leave her almost for dead. Horrible!

That is the emotional response that they want everyone to have; every time they come across that word
But now .... How did they define the word "rape" in order to get this 1 in 4 rape number? First off, they brought in the notion of lack of consent to also mean rape. Then, they muddied the waters of consent by telling us that women "could not give consent" after having a few drinks. The definition got muddier and muddier until one-quarter of the population would statistically be "raped" in their lifetime according to the new definition used in feminist surveys.

A man convicted of rape by way of proper DNA evidence should have his penis cut off. A woman convicted of rape using similar DNA evidence should have her clitoris removed. Both should be televised public events to deter others from committing the same crimes. For good measure, both should also be spanked, paddled, and caned by the rape victim. I don't believe they should be executed. There are far worse things in life for punishment than death.
The real trick here is making sure that convictions are true and accurate. Its easy to see how this could become very similar to the witch hunts as portrayed in "The Crucible".

No. There is a laundry list of reasons why the death penalty should never be used.
also, you cannot judge based on averages. You would need a conviction for every one of those supposed victims, and your figure is probalby not very reliable anyway.
A decent stint in jail is enough. Repeat offenders should get more though...
They call it a justice system not a vengeance system for a reason.

Like those Duke boys? (not the show). The ones that the stripper and procecutor consipred together to frame for rape? And just about got away with it? Or maybe Kobe Bryant, another guy who had the rape finger pointed at him - and it turned out to be a lie?

I think the source of the assault should be focused on. the genitals. if they can not keep it under a decent control it is like a wild dog and should be put to limbo , no erections for so many years.

I am studying psychology in college, and you are right about rehabilitation. And yes, I do think they should be executed.

If they are convicted and the DNA evidence is there they need to be castrated or put to death but that will never happen because we are so civilized.

a couple of my husband's friends are doctors and they believe that to be true but that makes this a mental issue in which they should be put in a mental facility for the rest of their lives.

The U.S. Supreme Court has already said that the death penalty for rape is unconstitutional. They already said that death is too harsh of a punishment for that crime.
