He wants out you dam Yankee hater. The Yanks are not up to anything. Johnson can still pitch.
PS: The White Sox suck.

Well the Yankees have to be getting upset since they haven't won a world series for a while and probably know Randy Johnson has been having some mechanical problems lately so they probably figure if they could get another decent hitter or a decent pitcher they would be in good shape.

Exactly. You answered your own question. "They are trying to shop an over the hill pitcher for youth".
If any other team did this, you'd laud them for foresight but since its the Yankees you're assuming that they are evil for doing so. Maybe they take these prospects and package them into an offer for Dontrelle Willis or Johan Santana.. or perhaps Carlos Zambrano if the Cubs are uninterested in the price it would take to re-sign him... Boy I hope the Cubs have the money to re-sign Z.

Because he has not performed for the Yankees and is probably all washed up. This is the first thing the Yankees have done that makes sense this year. Getting rid of Sheffield?? Big mistake. Johnson will be no loss, and they will also dump his huge salary!!
Chow!!

It would be a good move for the Yankees to trade Johnson for youth. Also... you get sick way too quickly, you should see a doctor.

Randy didn't live up to his expectations when he came to New York. He just couldnt fit in. Remember when he shoved that Channel 2 newsreporter when he was going to take his physical. Randy barely throws 95-97mph. During this off-season, Cashman is trading the veterans to get more prospects and Randy is old instead of getting nothing in return. The Yanks could get propects from the Diamondbacks or Scott Linebrink for the Padres.

They have enough starting pitchers for the coming year so he isnt needed. They want to stock for the future though i suspect if a trade does occur, they will pay off some of Johnson's remaining contract.

I think that they want to save some money or something like that. And because they want younger pitchers. They can't possibly be the highest bankrolled baseball team forever. DOWN WITH THE YANKEES!!
