We heard about the signing contracts about to signed by four top U.S. Oil companies, basically giving them all the rights over what was once Iraq's. I don't suppose Oil Companies or the Fed are willing to pay compensation to anybody Iraqi or American. So all Iraq lose, 95% or more of Americans lose, Big Oil Industry Wins, and Saddam not alive to tell embarrassing tales of How much U.S. government directed and wrote his scripts way back to when they first installed him, so yes in your perverted worldview MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!

I dare to say that the mission is far from accomplished. Killing Saddam was not the objective.

The objective was to ensure that Iraq was not developing weapons of mass destruction to threaten the world peace. Until Iraq is stable, there is still work to be done.

The mission is far from accomplished. When the Iraqi people are able to run their own country without world assistance, then the mission will be complete.

Yep, I'll say the mission isn't accomplished: bin Laden is still on the loose. The insurgents in Iraq are still killing Americans.

well if the mission was to kill saddam, then we've accomplished the mission. if the mission was to make america safer, i dont think enraging an entire corner of the world is the way to go.

The mission of finding the "weapons of mass destruction" was never accomplished. The only thing that was accomplished was that 3,000 young people were killed and 2,750 crippled.

This was the mission, as outlined by the President in September 2002:

Some of it has been done, some has yet to be done.
