I know its probly just the round ligaments streaching and they say to lay on your left side for a bit to ease it but this dont help.
sometimes its just a painful nusence and other times i almost want to cry and i cant move. and they wont go away.
is there anything other than the ligaments that could cause this pain? (no there not contractions)
could the baby be streaching out and causeing it?

Is the pain on both sides, or only the right? Extreme pain on the right side under the ribs or in the back could signal pre-eclampsia or HELLP, which must be treated immediately. If it makes you cry, you should probably go to the doctor. Good luck.

I had the same thing!! I feel for you~ Its round ligament pain It gets worse as you progress in your pregnancy what fun! It would literally take my breath away. I just had to stop what I was doing and sit and rest for a couple of minutes! Laying on my side didn't help much either. Good Luck (my baby was just born 10 days ago) It'll be over soon :)

It may be ligaments they were painful for me from July to October. Try some ligament rub from the health store. Ask the manager or expert they will recommend a safe one. YOu don't have to suffer. Some doctors think pain in pregnancy is normal. It should not be this painful. Get some natural relief! An tell your doctor it may be nerve related and you need to treated for nerve diseases.

It's okay!!! *hug* BUT it does sound like you might be going into labor, hon! The hospital would rather see you and send you home than not see you and you not get there in time. (Imagine how awful that would be!!!!) Call your doc and head to the hospital for a check. They will NOT make you feel silly. You have to do what's best for you and it could very well be that you are in labor!!! You might have a bladder infection tho... That could be a separate issue. And I have heard that every preg is different. So don't worry that this one is from the last one. GL!!!! I assume you are having contractions? You need to count them (from the start of one to the start of the next one). If you have more than 6 in an hour, it's probably not in your head! Get thee to the hospital!

Yep, the baby stretching intensifies these pains. I use to hate them so much. I had them with my 3rd pregnancy. I would take a warm bath to help ease the pain. Also some tylenol. Just try to relax. God bless!

Where is the pain? on the right or left side? top or bottom? the baby may just be stretching.. how far along are you? I would advise you to go to the hospital. Don't hesitate to call your doctor. It's very rare that pain that makes you cry is acceptable and normal. That doesn't mean that anything serious is wrong, but you know your body. And please don't just take what your doc tells you at face value. Make sure he/she understands just how badly this hurts. Good Luck to you and the incoming little one!
