If you do not own an apple computer installing mac osx is not easy. I have never got it to work. OSX is a UNIX os but I think that there are lots of compatibility issues if not installed on certain motherboards and other apple components. When apple started to use intel processors people began to experiment. If you do not know a great deal about your equipment- i.e. how to write a driver- than I do not think OSX on a desktop or pc notebook is a possibility. Good Luck!

Boot camp should have put a startup disk shortcut on your desktop or in the programs menu. You can also hold the option key down when you start the computer to get a choice. That only works if you cold start the computer, not when you restart from Windows.

jrrkidd is wrong, you have to hold down the Option key as your computer boots up. It will bring up a startup disk selection screen, where you can choose to boot into Mac OS X or Windows XP.

Put the macos disk that came with your computer into the slot and restart while holding the "C" key down. It should boot from the disk. Use "disk utility" on this disk to repair permissions on your macos disk. Quit disk utility and choose the start up disk from menu. reboot.
