At this point it sounds like everything is going perfectly. Nothing to worry about from here.
Just stay calm, concentrate on being pregnant, and enjoy your ultrasound. Dont dread it. You'll be okay.

I had a miscarriage in Aug of 2005.I was 9 weeks. I had the same diagnosis as you. I got pregnant again in Feb 2006. Now I have a beautiful baby boy. Ian was born Nov 12, 2006. I was scared at first too, but my pregnancy was normal and it went great, so good luck to you. I am sure everything will be ok this time.

So many of us have miscarriages, especially first pregnancies, but nobody talks about it. Most of us then go on to have perfectly normal pregnancies and wonderful babies. I was one of the ones who miscarried and then had a typical pregnancy, birth and child. My cousin had 3 miscarriages followed by two wonderful kids!! Every pregnancy is different so don't worry if you have some changes and not others. Women love to tell their horror stories. Just ignore them. Many are blown out of proportion and you're experience will be unique. A miscarriage is nature's way of giving you the best shot at a healthy baby. It stinks to have to go through it, but in the long run, the body is smart that way. Meanwhile, in case you are pregnant, don't worry, and DON'T DRINK ALCOHOL or SMOKE!! I do hope all goes well for you.

Talk to a trusted and understanding health care professional -- your family doctor, a nurse practitioner, etc. The chances are good that everything is just fine, but you don't need to stress yourself and the baby out by worrying all the time. A doctor or nurse practitioner can put your mind at ease so that you can enjoy the experience of being pregnant.
And in the meantime, I will say a prayer for your and your little one that everything is just fine. God bless!

I'm going through exactly the same thing. I had a miscarriage in July and found out I was pregnant again in November. I was scared to death to go to my first appointment but I prayed and I went. It was too early to see the heartbeat but they told me everything looked fine so far. They set another appointment for two weeks later to make sure there was a heartbeat. I drove myself insane for those two weeks. All I could think about was that they weren't going to be able to see the heartbeat and that I would have to go through that again. But I just prayed that everything would be ok and I tried to think positive about it. And I went and everything was ok. I wouldn't really consider myself a religious person but I have found some solace in praying. Positive thinking also helps. Everytime something negative pops into your head, try to change your train of thought. Your chances of having a good pregnancy this time are very good. Think about that and try to get excited about what's going on in you. You are going to be so worried throughout your whole pregnancy that you won't be able to enjoy this time. I seriously wish you good luck and if you need to talk, I know I am just some random person on the computer but I know what you are going through. My email is available on my page.

Kool Person you should be ashamed of yourself..
First of all everything sounds as though it is going perfectly well. You don't need to work yourself up about it all though as that won't help your blood pressure. Whatever you do PLEASE go to your ultrasound appointment, and don't be scared to talk to the doctors and tell them you are scared they will be there to listen, to help and also to suggest maybe groups you can talk to (as well as Yahoo Answers of course!) I know I'm a male, so I have no idea really of how you feel but I can guess and at the risk of sounding VERY cheesy have a big cyber hug from me xxx
Take care, have a Happy New Year and if you do want to feel free to e-mail me, but like I say I'm male and no expert. Good listener though :)

I would talk with your OB-GYN. If you don't feel comfortable with asking them questions, find another one, or a good OB-GYN Nurse Practitioner you can talk with. 1st pregnancies can be confusing and raise a lot of questions. And, the more people you ask, the more answers you will get. This is why it is so important to get your list of trusted practitioners down to a very, very small number and listen to them. Maybe you have a friend or family member who has someone they can recommend or has just gone through a pregnancy who can be your buddy and help you along with your concerns. Best of everything to you; I went through mine alone and it was tough...no Internet back then, but I tried to stick to 1 or 2 books and my Doc.

Talk to your doctor if you are nervous. I had three miscarriages before having my daughter, and then went on to have a normal pregnancy with her and Im pregnant again and she is only 17 months and Im due in a few weeks and this pregnancy went normal too. Just keeping watching yourself and talk to your doctor or one of the nurses if your scared.

I think that everything sounds fine with the baby but if you are nervous just talk to your doctor about your problems. Try not to stress yourself out because it is not good for you and the baby.

Please, Please see a doctor! I had a misscarriage too but carried a totally healthy baby a year later. The doc made me come in every three weeks just to be sure and It made me feel much more secure. If you are under stress, it will in turn stress your baby. Enjoy your pregnancy as a well informed mommy to be! Good luck and congrats.
