i hate to see anyone put to death, but this was a evil human who didn't seem to care about who he killed, it seemed a means to and end to him.I think if you live by violence then you die by violence.I would like to think yhis would calm things down over there but I think there are hundreds more violent men who will take a role as Saddam did

Saddam definitely deserved his sentence, however, the Iraqi government officials should not have allowed the Shia chanting and the tauting, they should have read his sentence out and declared that the Iraqi people has deter mind that Saddam deserved death for his crimes against them. I can't believe that the American Military allowed this to happen in the way it happened. This is something that the Sunnie insurgent might do, not the official government. Shame on the Iraqi Government.
I am, however, glad that they (government) did not abuse or paraded Saddam's body.

I believe that it was done too quick. Saddam lived as if he was a god. He craved loyalty and control. I cannot help but wonder what answers he took to his death. If given more time, he could have been manipulated into believing he was in control by giving out some of his hidden answers. As with Hitler, we now see many of his secrets, but I am sure there are many, many more that we will never know. Neither deserved to live. But both needed time to break and give answers. Of course, Hitler went out cowardly. Saddam went out like a lion. Not that I can find anything good other that that to say about him...So, I do believe he deserved death.

good ridance! Yeah! To bad it wasn't more public. Maybe seeing stuff like this would curb other bad guys from doing bad stuff. I'm not limiting that to just wannabe dictators, but to also the local drug dealers.

You are a bit late with the news. So many other people have already put the same question on YA's. But all I say is I have a 50/50 mind about it.

I don't have compassion for the man, he deserved what he got. But what of all the other folks who deserve the same fate, but we feed, clothe and care for to the end of their days? I do love swift justice.

It is a very sad day, and a sad reality - when one human 'finds' it acceptable to end another's life. . . no matter what the reason.

I honestly do not think it was the right thing to do...I realize he had ordered horrible things done...but...

***The Roman Catholic Church teaches that all human life must be respected from conception until its "natural end."***

There was nothing natural about that.
