DO NOT PEEL THE SKIN OFF BY ITSELF.. do like someone else suggested and bathe the snake in warm water but also put a VERY small amount of antibacterial soap in the water and make sure the snake has a rock to rest on so it doesn't drown. the most importent thing to look for is to make sure they eye caps have come off if they haven't, after the bath, take a small RUBBER ended tweezer and see if they will move if not wait a few days try the bath and removal again , if they still don't come off go to your vet.. any other skin is fine just not the eye caps. If the problem continues you need to find out why the snake is having bad sheds.. it could be hydration, diet (sounds strange i know but a gut loaded rat or mouse is more nut. then others), or heat and humidity..as in not enough humidity.. once in a while is not a problem however.

Your snake probably hasn't shed yet. Sometimes they look like they are going to shed and then it looks like they are back to normal, but no skin is found. Then a few days later there is skin in the tank. They go from regular, to "in blue" to regular and then shed usually. Good luck.

hi there
give it a luke warm bath let it soak it self or about 20 mins ... take ur hand and gently rub towards the tail. do not force the skin off lightly rub.. it lets the warm water under the old skin and lifts it a bit and it will roll off basically
we have to do it for our lizards and snakes some times when they have a bad shed...

Not sure where the still attached skin is,or how large your slithery friend is, but usually raising the humidity in the tank, and providing them with a place to soak in lukewarm water will do it. If they are unwilling to soak themselves, I have known people who have soaked their snakes in everything from a small tupperward type container, to a cooler, to a bathtub.

You shouldn't worry!! He/She will be fine! I have a chameleon and she sheds all the time, except sometimes not all of the skin goes away, so she rubs the shedding skin off.

Make sure he has a water bowl that he can soak his entire body in. You can also put him in a damp pillow case for half an hour - as he rubs on the damp cloth, it can help remove unshed skin - works great for retained eye caps. Also review your husbandry - is he healthy otherwise?

Do not pull it off, It will come off eventually. Make sure it has clean water to soak in, and something to rub on, as well as heat. If you pull it off you run the risk of pulling off fresh skin and really hurting it. It will come off, be patient. They have been doing this for years.

Give it a lukewarm bath or just leave a bathing bowl in the cage for it to loosen its skin. Put rocks in the cage and it will rub it off itself. DO NOT PEEL IT OFF!!

what type of snake is it? you could put it in a box full of damp moss which should help your snake shed or you could put a rock for your snake to rub on.
