Holly, you sure told the truth. Everything you said people should take into accou t. I hope the issues with the boyfriend work out... maybe this will be the first issue that you resolve in the new year. Even though I don't personally know you, I want to wish your a very sincere Happy New Year. Good luck to you.

I agree with you! My family is split up in a bunch of different states, and I'm not alone but I'm certainly not complaining! My goodness why do people think family is a bad thing? Maybe thats why there is so much hate in the world because people become so consumed by their self absorbtion that spending time with others becomes a chore, or a bore....what about all those people who have no family at all? Or those who just wish that they could have just one more day with a family member that passed way too soon? Family is what you make of it, yes, some families are trouble and unfortunately have some terrible things going on, but again, for those who families just want to be together, to see you and remind you how much they love you, why is that so bad?

I'm with you. I always spend New Years Eve with my family. Although I never spent New Years Eve with my sister in the past, now I never will, cause passed away in April, so I say spend New Years Eve with some or all of your family, they may not be here for the next one.

I do see where you are coming from. I used to feel the same way about spending the holidays with my family and it was so aggravating at the time because we'd have to split the day between my family and in-laws. Now I miss them so much. My parents and my in-laws are now snow birds so we don't see them at all during the holidays. It's so different now. Much too quiet.
