Why are so many of the questions in the politics category about American politics? Don't Canadians care about their own political situations, or don't Canadians have any politics at all? It's always about the U.S. even on the Canada Yahoo answers....

I would probably say that Canadians are a little less interested in politics than Americans. If you look at the historical voter turnout in Canada (http://www.sfu.ca/~aheard/elections/historical-turnout.html) then you will see that for the 2004 election, in Canada, less than half of the citizens that were able to vote did so.

I think Canadians care, but in America (it seems to me that) people are raised to be more politically active then they might be in Canada. I have no idea exactly why, but lately the country (America) has been very divided and maybe in Canada it isn't as divided, therefore people don't get as into because it isn't a dead heat.

Well its not that they are less interested....but Yahoo! Answers has its own Canadian version (as Yahoo has a version for almost every country/language). They are probably active on their country's forum.

Take a look for yourself, http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/dir/;_ylt=Ak4WG10dokqgNtVLFvKZzy6mFQx.?link=list&sid=396545444

And about what the girl ahead of me said, they aren't raised any different than we are. Their government just isnt as disfunctional as ours, and they have about 1/15 the population. They are probably better represented than we are.
