How do I find pending law suits without paying a site?

Have tried Entering "Lawsuit Pending"...then my numerous various ways it might be listed. Nothing comes up on yahoo or google. Ideas?

Its public information, those sites aren't given exclusive information, you can call your county or state clerk and ask. Its public information, just to re-enforce. You don't even need the cover of being a law student, as a civilian you are entitled to info about civil cases.

Walk in or call the court clerks office, tell them you are a law student and want to observe upcoming trials, get a civil action docket printout....
