What do you have against Motorcycle riders? Your questions seem really angry. Why?

Smokey obviously is not a biker. He had some run in with a real biker (most likely involving a wife or girlfriend) and came out on the short end of the stick. Not knowing anything about bikes, Smokey classifies anything on two wheels with an engine as bad. Therefore his anger towards all riders. He would probably think a moped was too loud. If Smokey asks anymore questions just boycott them. I know I'm not going to bother anymore. Maybe he'll just give up, go home to mama and have some milk and cookies.

As far as Oddbal goes. Your name fits you. Maybe you could hook up with Smokey. Sounds like both of you have much in common and about the same anger level.

Oddball, read this guys other questions. He's insulting everyone who has loud pjpes, a Harley, or who rides. In that order.
I'm tired of being insulted.

If you've got a beef, call a local cop. We can't help you here. Got a question about a motorcycle, we might.

Be considerate enough to find out what's going on before jumping on the bandwagon.

Smokey's question is TOTALLY LEGIT; society is burdened with these thoughtless and insensitive losers!

Like body piercing/tatooing/slaves to fashion, etc., people who prefer to blow out our eardrums are abyssmally immature emotionally---and their decible-attacks on others is a desperate effort to possess/control others' attention in the vain hope of cultivating awe in people. As one who has endeavored in spiritual evolution since trying to capture others' notice, I can well identify with the kind of childishness that produces their way of thinking.

Robin Williams described these defenders-of-their-selfishness best: "The Lord gave me enough blood to operate a penis and a brain---but not both at the same time!"

Loud exhaust systems cause me physical pain. So do sirens. Thankfully, I can roll up my windows when other devastatingly loud onslaughts (such as fire engines or ambulances) approach. However, there's no way to deal with the randomness of selfish motorists. The police are overwhelmed with their numbers.

Excessive noise is extremely dangerous! The military has developed weapons that devastate and destroy with sound. Children are particularly vulnerable to excessive noise! There's no possible justification for willful harm to others!

I'm not against bikers. I've owned motorcycles for thirty years. What I'm against is lawlessness; only the higher-functioning mind can understand that we all have to try our best to be considerate of others---NOT be responsible for increasing their deafness and pain.

Loud pipes are utilized by extremely selfish people. Their noise assault reflects an inordinate pride in themselves, foisted upon others. There's no virtue in their belligerence toward Smokey---or the rest of society. They're wholly unconcerned that their civil disobedience is causing physical pain to anyone. This is precisely why legislation against overly loud exhaust systems is needed, and needs to be enforced much more than it is.
