I have never seen any monkey, chip, gorilla, etc. fling poop in the wild.

They have learned that from people in a captive world. Usually when aggravated by humans. It is their way way of expression to leave them alone.

Flinging poop, spitting, urinating, throwing food, throwing water, masturbating in front of you, is their taught way of getting even.

Put yourself in a cage. They walk by and make lude and insulting motions, remarks, etc. Finally you get fed up, become angry, and retaliate.

Give them a break. It is hard enough to be jailed your entire life with a bunch of jerks making fun of you...

Cause it makes humans laugh their hineys off. Actually saw an elephant do it in the zoo also. But the pachyderm had a much better aim. Dumb people never saw it coming.

they are monkeys. what else do they have to do with their time?
something to ponder: if humans supposedly evolved from monkeys then does that mean that we once flung our poop? ☻
