It was supposed to be about Jesus and a supposed blood line he left by birthing a child, but the movie didn't explaining that well because it sucked. The book is (sigh) much better, read it.

The book was really good, and the movie tried hard to pay homage to it. Basically, Robert Langdon is following clues that Leonard Da Vinci supposedly left in his artwork to unravel the true identity of the Holy Grail (or in this case, Mary Magdelene as Jesus's wife). Basically, in the movie, we find out that Sophie is the current remaining descendant of Jesus Christ.

It's about the holy grail (the legendary cup) but the hogy grail is actually Jesus wife Mary, who had a child, leaving a descendant of Christ on Earth. I thought the movie was good; I haven't read the book yet, but the book is always better and gives more information so it will probably make more sense to you if you didn't understand the film.

I believe it was a revision of a revised version of history, both the book and the movie. History always makes for a good who-done-it. The truth is mysterious.

the movie was about what if Jesus was married and had children that lived on till the present day and that Mary Madaglene was his wife.

It is pure imaginative nonsense. Why would anyone even have the guts to tell fake stories about Jesus Christ and broadcast it to the whole world?!? Pure blasphemy!!!
