You know, I've wondered much the same thing. He puts himself out there, all cute and adorable and clearly tempting us to tickle him, then you read under his avatar and there's the admonition telling us "don't tickle Elmo". I think Elmo is a big tease and we should gang up on him and tickle his delightful red fur off.
