what did saddam do that was so wrong? just curious if anyone knows a website with more details. I know he executed 183 people but i would just like more info on the subject.

im not an idiot people. I just wanted to know a website to read about it. Obviously my question wasn't very clear. I know the general idea of what he did but I wanted details of the events leading up to his execution.

Here's one thing he did.
He had a man shoot his own mother, wife and daughter and then arrested him for murder.

He gassed his own people, He had the women treated like sex slaves, They were not allowed to shoe any body part( Including their face being covered) He had young boys as close as 13 trained to fight and they were taught how to kill AMERICAN'S. Plus saddam had like 50 children from different women. He had 13 year old boys working. During the war, He told every man in his country: FIGHT OR YOU WILL BE BEHEADED'!!!! He killed our AMERICAN soldiers in 1992 during the firsr war. (That wasen't finished) He took our soldier's into POW some were killed, Tongues were ripped out and beheaded. Killed our channel 4 news reportor(From new york) He just talked to his 4 BABIES by satallite minutes before he was killed. Our AMERICAN FLAG was being burned and they all danced around it. They had Mr. Bushes grave waiting for him, as well does BIN-LADEN. Need we say more????? Never Forget 911 either. GOD BLESS AMERICA AND OUR SOLIER'S!

He was hanged for killing 148 Shia villagers in 1982 after a failed asssanination attempt and also he used chemical weapons against the kurds . Its important to note that these chemical weapons were developed with the assistance of US and UK to confront Iran at that time.

His commands ended up killing 1,000,000 people. In many cases, they were totally innocents people, who happened to live in the wrong village, belong to the wrong tribe, etc.

Oh come on.(!!!) It wasnt anything serious.(!!) He was just a poor cruel dictator who killed a lot of people (maybe not so many as Bush have done but we ll talk about it another day) and he made a lot of people suffer. it is also said that he also had nucler weapons.

Yea, that's mainly what I know, too! I hadn't heard of the other charges that other answers have said. But... was it his enemies who were saying that? Is it hearsay? I could be wrong, I wasn't there. But I do know enuf to know that not everyone that recounts something or says something is speaking truthfully...

The questions shouldnt be what did he do. It should be what he didnt do. He murdered hundreds of people. during election if someone didnt vote for him he was shot. He made familes kill each other. so please tell me what he didnt do. I am sure he raped unwilling woman. so what did he not do?

he ordered this guy to kill his close family members and then he arrested the guy for doing his bidding. and he even killed his only family.
