MY QUESTION WAS HOW CAN i GET MY 5 YEAR OLD TO SLEEP IN HER BED? MY HUSBAND SLEEPS IN HER ROOM IN HER FULL SIZE BED. MY 5 YEAR OLD SLEEPS IN MY BED WITH ME. SHE HAS TAKEN HIS SIDE OF THE BED. THANKS FOR ALL OF THE ADVISE I HAVE TRIED ALL OF IT.

If not, set up a toddler bed for her in your room--then evenually move the toddler bed to her own room.

Yeah, you might get a better answer if you ask the right people. We are here to talk and answer questions about music which has NOTHING to do with your inability to 'BE THE FRICKIN PARENT'. A 5 year old needs guidance NOW as to make good decisions later. Make her sleep in her bed! Stand firm. She'll get used to it PLUS she'll learn a little something about 'respect' that only you can teach her if you start now. You and your husband be the parents and let her be the 5 year old. She's not the head of the house even though that's the position you're giving her. When one young couple I know come to visit, as soon as their 3 year old says 'I wanna go home' they immediatly leave saying 'Lillie's ready to go'. Now, they don't understand why she pitches a fit when they're NOT ready to go... DUH! You're teaching your daughter the same thing. Sorry, but being a parent is more than just being passive and saying 'yes' all the time. Being a parent means doing what is in the 'best interest' of your child, no matter what it takes, and right now it's gonna take you and your husband being the PARENTS. good luck.
