Yes, im pregnant and have been told by my Ob/Gyn that eating SOME fish is ok (depending on what it is). Ive been eating tuna and salmon all the way through pregnancy and have been told to just cut down on excessive amounts. I have 1 small can of tuna roughly about 3 times a week and its been said its fine.
Fish such as shark, swordfish and marlin are dangerous while pregnant though because of mercury content. It can go straight through to the placenta so just be careful what fish you eat.

You can eat up to 6 oz per week during pregnancy of Tuna. Due to the high mercury content, it's not advisable to eat too much more than that. I personally had a seafood aversion during both my pregnancies.

Doesn't that drive you nuts?! Depending on who you ask- who knows what answer you might get!!! My due date is today, I can honestly tell you that Tuna is one of the few things I stayed away from... I'm not a big FISH person - but tuna's issue is the mercury in it... My midwife was pretty laid back this entire pregnancy (i.e. telling me I could have a glass of wine, etc.) but that was one thing she said she wouldn't do if she were me... It's hard to keep up with the constantly changing list of things that Mommas to be are supposed to stay away from, I found myself going nuts just trying to keep it all straight~ But tuna was easy to avoid, much easier than missing my morning coffee!!!

You are supposed to avoid fish that are high in mercury when you are pregnant. I believe tuna is one of those fish. I avoided fish during my first pregnancy.

I don't like tuna or any other kind of seafood so I didn't eat any while i was pregnant.
I've heard that Tuna is ok but don't eat it all the time. Don't eat fresh water fish cause there could be mercury in it............That's all i've heard....
I also want to add that WIC gives coupons for tuna so it must be healthy.......

I ate tuna and other fishes during my pregnancy. I just ate moderate amounts and I didn't eat any swordfish or shark. I looked up the question and the link is below.

you should not eat tuna while you are pregnant. Or rather I should say you should limit yourself to once a week because of the level of mercury in the tuna.

just eat the tuna and don't worry so much. Most people eat tuna maybe once a week or so and that's fine.
