My ex-husband divorced me for another woman. It was a real blow to me. I didn't want to divorce. I still love him and he says he still loves me but he can't be with me right now. To make it worse, she is quite nasty. She wears men's clothes, carries a wallet in her back pocket, and can drink him under the table. I just don't see the attraction. He says that I am still the most beautiful woman in the world to him and I all I have to do is barely touch him and he gets excited. So? Why the divorce? I don't understand. He says that they have the same interests. Why would you divorce someone that you are madly in love with for someone that you only drink with or hunt with? Help me understand!!!

Perhaps he's being nice to spare your feelings and not telling you why he won't be with you.

Good question. No wonder it's got us all stumped. Only ideas I can come up with are either that he's afraid of what he had, like he felt he wasn't worthy of it, that he felt closed off from other friendships while he was with you. My guess is the former, and that the other woman's caught him at a vulnerable moment and he's allowed her to control him. You're not giving the impression that he's in control of himself.

????????? perhaps he never lived with a mate?
I don't think he is making a comparison between the two of you as you both sound like chalk & cheese. That could be what he is looking at at the moment something completly different.
