because i never see them around poor white people...and there are plenty of them in america as well but somehow they get overlooked because of their race...

It seems that way doesn't it. Unfortunately, the democrats will hand out to anyone who can figure out how to use the system. When we stop rewarding people for having children they can't afford; we will make major steps in fighting poverty in this country.

There are poor white people I'm sure but all poor people are not equal. If you are black you get more attention and that is not the black person's fault. When a democrat sees a black person he see him as a potential vote.
In India the ruling congress party is always eager to the minorities that how the society has been unjust to them and Bapu has send them as Messiahs for the betterment of the minorities.

They are talking about anyone who is in need. Often times you will see any political leader making sure to have themselves seen helping a particularly minority group because it is good for their political career. You not only aim for the poor vote or the rich vote, but you are also chasing the black vote, the hispanic vote, etc.

Democrats just do this to get more votes, by acting like they care about the poor minorities. Their answer is more welfare and HIGHER TAXES.
Contrary to popular belief, liberals are most responsible for keeping the poor, poor. PPL that disagree should do some research about what the different parties stand for and support.
Mostly though, politicans, pretty much ALL politicians are in it to line their back pockets.

Seems that way as being born white does not mean you are not in need of perks like aid and for a better life and health ins.

Why don't you contact your elected representatives and ask them? If the legislation they enact is specific to economic status alone, then I would say they helping 'poor people'. If the legislation specifically relates to racial or cultural groups - then I would say they are helping specific 'poor people'.
