Actually, thats not true. Not all babies are born with blue eyes. What you may be confused on, however, are kittens. All kittens are born with blue eyes but most (around 75-80%) grow out of that around 6-8 weeks and change eye colors to brown or hazel or green.

Not all babies are born with blue eyes, but many people are born with blue or light-colored eyes that darken after birth.
Melanin, the brown pigment molecule that colors your skin, hair, and eyes, is not always fully deposited in the irises of the eyes at birth or darkened by exposure to ultraviolet light. Melanin is a protein. Like other proteins, the amount and type you get is coded in your genes. Irises containing a large amount of melanin appear black or brown. Less melanin produces green, gray, or light brown eyes. If your eyes contain very small amounts of melanin, they will appear blue or light gray. Melanin production generally increases during the first year of a baby's life, leading to a deepening of eye color. The color is often stable by about 6 months of age.

Only babies that will have either blue, green or gray eyes tend to be that color. Babies with brown eyes are born with them.

not all babies are born with blue eyes. I think most animal babies are born with eyes that are blue. I think it is because there genes from their parents are not fully generated yet.

His eye color didn't;t change until he was almost 3 months old.... we thought he was going to have Grey eyes.... but they did turn a sky light blue after the 3 rd month.... Plus the other reason is because Blue trait is very common in humans and is why most babies have blue eyes....
