Let her decide. Tell her she can try pads or tampons. Tell her how to use both, and let her try it herself, but do explain the dangers of tampons, too, and how to correctly insert them and the proper usage. Don't underestimate your daughter. Not all girls are afraid of tampons. It doesn't affect your virginity in anyway and she's not too small, but if the bigger ones are uncomfortable maybe she should try a slimfit.

It would be a lot easier for her to start out with pads. Tampons can be a little scary at first and pads are a lot less hassle, especially at her age. Try her out with the pads first and when she feels comfortable or ready she can try tampons.

I suggest she start out with pads. They are easier to use, especially when the girl is young. Tampons may be uncomfortable for her to use at her age. Also, tampons can carry the risk of TSS(Toxic Shock Syndrome), a rare but life-threatening illness.

Pads are not comfortable but they are easy. I would give her the option. Have both products there, and offer support if she needs it. Tampax has a JR size. I think the ones in plastic are easier to use (they slide). Just let dad know it doesn't mean she's not a virgin if she uses a tampon.

She should start off with pads first the light day ones or just ask her on what she wants and tell her if she gets cramps to put a heating pad over her stomach to relieve those cramps or take two asprin.

I think pads are better to start out until she gets a little bit older and more comfortable with her body. Tampons can cause Toxic shock syndrome, so its best to stay with something more easier and less harmful until she gets a bit older

Pads. It's hard for young girls to use tampons. She'll feel more comfortable and less nervous in a pad.
