I never understood what that meant, either, but a club in San Diego makes more sense than what I thought it was originally.

The word 'casbah' actually refers to the Muslim quarters of the city of Algiers in Algeria, Africa. That city was wracked by conflict between the colonial French, who lived in luxurious homes in the developed part of town, and the poverty-stricken native Muslims, whom the French essentially ignored after colonizing the city.

its a middle eastern market and or meeting place, where pundits get together to discuss ideas, usually traditionalist ideas, so by rocking it you are skaing it up or changing thier ideas
