I have a pair of old jeans. The only thing wrong with it is the zipper. It is a bit lose and often slips down. I have gotten used to checking it every now and then. Is there any way to tighten it with pliers or something so it will stay up better?

I would just bring the jeans to a really good tailor. They can replace the zipper, which is even better b/c then you don't have to mess with oils or stains. Plus replacing a zipper isn't that expensive and its done by a professional.

bend the teeth of the zipper down slightly with pliers a bit also add a little soap or wax on the teeth of the zipper they will slide right up and down with ease.

Use wood glue to tighten it up ,it wont get stuck because its metal not wood, and then use WD40 on it.
