Drink a lot of warm beverages like tea. Also take cough drops if you have a sore throught. Take a nice, warm, steamy shower and breathe in the steam. Believe me, the exact thing happened to me a month ago.

Song selection is important when auditioning .. even more so when your vocal range is effected by a cold.
Keep it to the beat of the show you are trying out for, that way if they ask you to sing another from the show, you then tell them you have a cold, and the first song is even more impressive. You can then ask for a call back in a couple of days

Get lots of sleep, to begin with. Before the audition, warm up your voice, starting with humming, very lightly, your lowest note to relax the vocal cords. If you are supporting your voice correctly, you can sing through the cold.

Rest your body and your voice. In the morning gargle with salt water. Eat a healthy breakfast or meals. Drink lemon water to clear your throat especially before you sing, but also tonight and tomorrow. Good luck!

I appeared dreadfull, and that i did not recognize what to do. I had sunlight burn throughout my face, so I sprayed something else of my body that coloration, and reported I had basically been to Florida. I were given dressed and acted like it became a common day. I took allergie drugs, and vicks vapor rub, a warm bathe, and tried my ideal. And wager who I grew to develop into out to be? Belle.

Drink some hot tea (no sugar added. It may be bitter, but sugar might coat your throat).

Also, suck on a slice of lemon. Again, sour and bitter, but I did it when my throat was sore once just before a recitle, and I felt better.

rest your voice. don't talk and drink alot of hot tea. A warm shower would be good. stay around warmth and if you have a soar throat have a few cough drops handy. Also DRINK ALOT OF ORANGE JUICE! (not yelling) it has vitamin C and should help you to feel better.

I say do it. I have auditioned sick. If you stay home you will have no chance at the part. At least if you show you willhave a partial chance. Do it!
