what a brilliant firework display they gave in london for bringing in the new year..did anybody else watch it on tv....absolutely fantastic....

Yes - I thoroughly agree with you. It just goes to show what the millennium show COULD have been like and SHOULD have been like if it hadn't been such a shambles! For once I didn't mind a bit of my council tax going towards paying for it!

It was fantastic was'nt it, the best i have seen them do for years. I was sayingto my boyfriend that i would love to go there for next year,but i will have a 4 month old baby in tow so i dont think that will be happening but who knows??

I did not watch anything. I have decided that I should not celebrate New Year anymore - it's an excuse to drink and as a sober alcoholic that's one more excuse I would rather not have.
I am glad that you had a nice time. I like it when people are happy. Fireworks are cool.

Have to say that I was expecting the usual damp squib of a show from London - gotta say they excelled this year and it was amazing - Well done the organisers :-) xxxxxxx

yeah, it was great. i also saw the one in Taiwan and Australia. It makes the U.S. version look really cheap. Other countries have so much better New Year's festivals than America. Makes dropping a ball look cheesy.
