If it's only at the moment then the network often cannot take everybody sending new year greetings

Its the usual case on new years eve at midnight can't send a text or make calls. Because the networks can't cope with the volume of traffic it has to handle. I'm on 3 last night after midnight I sent loads of texts and they all got through.

Orange was voted the best network for speed and reliability while o2 gives you lots of free calls etc but u might have to go outside to get signal so in your case Orange.

its the same on every network every year, it cant handle all the new yr texts everyone is sending. It will be fine by morning. Happy New Year everyone!!

yes, i'm having problems. I can make calls but I can't send or receive text messages. Started about 11pm and still isn't fixed. I hope the messages sent/received in this time will get there!?!?

Yes, I couldn't send texts or ring on my phone. As it is relatively old, I thought that it had broken! I thought later that it could be due to the volume of use. Happy New Year, everyone!

Yep. It's what happens every year with new year, network goes down because of extreme business.

Well Mo.. I have been trying to text my friend in Australia who has O2 from my T Mobile and although I have gotten reports saying "message delivered" my friend has not gotten one of them!

HI THERE I FIND THE ONLY PROBLEMS I HAVE WITH O2 IS WHEN I AM IN EUROPE
IE-- ESPECIALLY FRANCE THE PROBLEM IS REALLY BAD
