Geeezzzz...well of course the music from the 80's was and still is awesome!
Editing here...I read the other answers and didn't realize you wanted the best and worst 80's songs! Duh!

I personally like the 60's tunes the best...80's running a close second
As for the worst...well whatever they called that crap from the 90's will suffice.
Fashion was better in the 80's...at least my pants weren't showing any body parts! And my shirts came all the way down and didn't look like mom shrunk my sweaters in the dryer on high!
As for the world....as I see it things are getting or have gotten worse...but I don't know if it really has or if it is because I am so much more aware of the world around me.

From what I can remember of the 80's, they were cool. I was little (born in 1983) for most of the 80's. I don't think I liked the fashion....but I'm basing this on it's current revival, considering I wasn't "into fashion" as a five year old. The music, for the most part, was great. As for the world being a better place? The grass is always greener...so I'm going to have to go with no.

I think the fashion is worse in the 80's than now but the music and the world was a much better place in the 80's along with the movies.

This was the game of the holiday at my house. My sister received Name that Tune 80's edition and it's a blast!
Music: Best- TOO many to name (Just some of my favorites are- Cure/Love Cats, Charlie Daniels Band/The Devil Went Down to Georgia, Def Leppard/Photograph, Duran Duran/Save a Prayer, Georgia Satellites/Keep Your Hands to Yourself, Murray Head/One Night in Bangkok, Kajagoogoo/Too Shy, Cyndi Lauper/True Colors, Pet Shop Boys/West End Girls, Pet Shop Boys/Opportunities (Let's Make Lots of Money), Paul Simon/You Can Call Me Al, 'Til Tuesday/Voices Carry, Van Halen/Hot for Teacher, Vapors/Turning Japanese, Wang Chung/Dance Hall Days and ZZ Top/Legs.) That's just some!
Music: Worst- Band-Aid/Do They Know It's Christmas? and Bobby McFerrin/Don't Worry, Be Happy and "Weird Al" Yankovic/Eat It. I'm sure there are more that I am purposely forgetting.
Fashion: Hey! It was in style! I'll go with thumbs up!
The world: on a scale, I would go with The same place but leaning a little towards the worse side

The 80s had some of the best music and cloths. I mean who doesnt love a good leather Jacket and bleached jeans? Ronald Reagan was president and we knew our enemy ie the USSR. Pac-Man and Super Mario Brothers had just came out. And the children watched real cartoons not this Japanese Anime crap that kids watch today. Rap Music didnt take over Americas youth yet. OOOO why cant we go back to the glory days?

I grew up in the 80's so of course I love them!
Music best: Bon Jovi, Motley Crue, Guns N Roses, U2, INXS, the Cure, Van Halen, Depeche Mode, too many more to name them all!
Music worst: Milli Vanilli, REM
Fashion: Thumbs up!!! Big hair (the higher the better! we called it "Jersey hair"), Aqua Net, Acid wash denim...need I say more?
The World: better place...I never would have imagined having to walk through metal detectors or worry about guns and shootings at school... what a change in just one generation!

U2 and Queen are the best although Queen was better in the 70's and the worst was that onee chick with the big hair
Fashon was a little emberassing but we all did it

love the 80's...love the music...fashion was definitely a no-no...the big hair and shoulder pads need to stay in the past...i think in the 80's the world was seemingly better...it's just that now we kno a lot more that could've existed back then...
